Adult ADHD Assessment: Stop Wondering, Start Knowing.
You’ve spent years being told you’re “too much” or “not trying hard enough.” You’ve learned to compensate, mask, and white-knuckle your way through a world that wasn’t build for your brain, and honestly? You’re so f*cking exhausted.
Maybe you’ve always suspected ADHD but never got a straight answer. Maybe you were dismissed because you “seemed fine” or you “didn’t fit the profile.” Maybe you’ve been managing anxiety or depression for years and recently started wondering if ADHD has been the missing piece all along.
You deserve an answer. Not a guess or a shrug from a provider who spent 20 minutes with you. An actual, thorough, clinically-informed assessment from someone who understands how ADHD actually shows up in adults, especially people who have been flying under the radar their whole lives.
That’s the kind of care we provide.
Our Process
Step 1: Pre-Session Screeners
Before your appointment, you’ll complete validated rating scales and questionnaires on your own time. These are designed to surface patterns across multiple areas of functioning (not just the textbook check list) so we can make the most of your time together in session.
Step 2: 2-Hour Clinical Interview
This is the core of the assessment. We will dig into your developmental history, how symptoms have shown up across different contexts, what compensatory strategies you’ve developed over the years, and what’s driving your current concerns. Tailored clinical interviews, structured for you.
Step 3: Written Clinical Report
Following your clinical interview, you’ll receive a comprehensive written report that includes your diagnostic impressions, clinical rationale, and personalized recommendations. this report can be shared with prescribers for medication management, employers for accommodation requests, or kept for your own records.
Step 4: 1-Hour Report Delivery Session
We review your results together, because we’re not here just to hand you a report and say “good luck!” We’ll walk through what your profile actually means, what patterns showed up, how ADHD may have intersected with your life in ways you didn’t recognize before, and what next steps make sense for you. You leave with clarity, not just a label.

Frequently Asked Questions
-
Yes. In California, Maine and Texas, Licensed Clinical Social Workers are authorized to conduct clinical assessments and provide diagnostic impressions for conditions including ADHD. LCSWs cannot prescribe medication—if medication is part of your treatment plan, I’ll provide documentation and support a referral to a prescribing provider.
-
No. This is a clinical, diagnostic assessment using validated screeners, structured clinical interview, and developmental history. This is NOT a neuropsychological battery with cognitive testing. This is appropriate for most adults seeking diagnostic clarity and documentation for medication or accommodations. If you have specific needs that require neuropsychological testing, I’ll help you identify the right referral.
-
Great question! And a common one. ADHD and Autism co-occur frequently, and an AuDHD profile can look quite different from either one on their own. During the assessment, we will explore that picture together. If an Autism evaluation feels warranted based on what comes up, I’ll discuss that with you and we can talk about next steps.
-
From completing your pre-session screeners to receiving your report, most people move through the process within 2-3 weeks. Your clinical interview and report delivery session are each scheduled separately.
-
Yes! The written report can be shared with a psychiatrist, psychiatric NP, or your primary care provider to support a medication evaluation. I’m happy to coordinate with your prescribing provider if helpful.

A two-payment plan (50% at booking, 50% at results session) is available. If cost is a significant barrier, reach out—I keep a small number of reduced fee spots available, which varies.
