Unmasking Skills Group for Late-Diagnosed Neurodivergent Adults
You know what it’s like to spend years, decades, TOO LONG cos-playing a person to survive. You people please even though you hate it, strive for more even though you don’t know what “more” means anymore. You’re always “on,” and as a consequence, always so exhausted. And know that you know you’re neurodivergent, the question surfaces:
Who am I underneath the mask?
This 6-week therapy skills group is designed for autistic and ADHD adults who’ve been diagnosed or self-realized later in life and are craving a space to:
Unpack what masking has cost them
Explore who they are without all the performance
Rebuild self-trust, slowly and safely
Learn practical tools for unmasking and emotional regulation
Connect with others who deeply (maybe painfully?) understand
Unmasking Skills Group for Adults Diagnosed Later in Life
This Group Might Be For You If...
You feel like you’ve been "performing" your whole life
You’re constantly exhausted, even when doing "nothing"
You’re grieving who you could’ve been with earlier support
You want to unmask — but don’t know how or where to start
You’re craving community that gets it without judgment or fixing
What to Expect:
This is a therapist-led, trauma-informed therapy skills group — not a course or coaching space. While we explore real themes and practice new ways of being, there’s no pressure to perform, share before you're ready, or hit specific milestones.
Each session includes:
Gentle check-ins and community building
Psychoeducation around masking, burnout, sensory needs, and identity
Skills for self-trust, boundaries, emotional regulation, and sensory awareness
Optional prompts and grounding tools
Facilitated by a Neurodivergent Therapist
This group is led by Crystal Britt, LCSW. She is a late-diagnosed, AuDHD therapist who specializes in supporting neurodivergent adults through unmasking, burnout recovery, and identity integration. Crystal brings lived experience, humor, and gentleness to every session.
